Guided Village Tour
Lær om Flørli sin unike historie og bli med oss på en guidet vandring i bygda. Vi forteller om anleggshistorien, fra tiden Flørli var et levende kraftsamfunn og slår bro til dagens Flørli. Vi tilpasser runden etter deltagernes fysiske evner. Hvis alle er gode nok til beins går vi oppover den bratte stien i bygda, ellers forteller vi like underholdende blant bygningene på sletta ved fjorden. Turen er egnet for voksne og barn, men innhold er først og fremst tenkt for et voksent publikum. Turen varer en time og gjennomføres kun på forhåndsbestilling. Du bestiller til ditt ønskede starttidspunkt og så kommer vi tilbake til deg for å bekrefte at det passer da, eventuelt på et annet tidspunkt.
ENGLISH: Guided Village Tour
Learn about Flørli’s unique history and join us for a guided walk through the village. We share stories about the history of the hydropower facilities, from the time when Flørli was a vibrant power community, and connect this past to present-day Flørli. We adapt the route to suit the participants’ physical abilities. If everyone is fit enough, we walk up the steep path through the village, otherwise we provide an equally engaging experience among the buildings on the flat area by the fjord.
The tour is suitable for both adults and children, but the content is primarily designed for an adult audience. The tour lasts one hour and is available by advance booking only. You select your preferred start time when booking, and we will get back to you to confirm whether that time is available, or suggest an alternative if needed.
Stampen, the hottub
Stampen er ein perfekt gruppeaktivitet etter ein strevsam dag i trappa! Her er det plass til åtte, alltid med reint og klart sjøvatn for vi vaskar den grundig etter kvart bruk. Stampen er dels vedfyrt, dels elektrisk og tar heile dagen å bli varm. Den held då mellom 37 og 40 gradar. Fjorden, badestiger og varme utedusjar er like ved.
Vi pleier å ha stampen varm frå kl19, men du kan legge til ønskje om tidlegare bruk, så skal vi sjå om vi får den varma opp raskare. Du har stampen heile kvelden fram til kl23. Etter kl23 er det ønskje om kveldsro på plassen av omsyn til andre gjester. Like ved stampen står óg saunavogna “Salbu”, nokre likar å booke begge desse som ei pakke.
ENGLISH: The hottub Stampen
The large hottub “Stampen” fits about 8 adults. It’s placed centrally on the old ferry quay of Flørli with an impeccable view over the fjord. The hottub is woodfired and it takes all day to heat it. It therefore needs to be prebooked at least a day in advance and will generally not be hot before about 7pm.
After each use, we empty and clean the hottub, then it gets filled up again with water from the fjord: hygienic and completely safe.
Next to the hottub, you can jump into the fjord from the quay and get up by a little ladder. There is no beach. You can change clothes more or less discretely in the woodshed by the hottub. If you want to shower, you can do so in the Power Café 250 metres away.
[COMING SOON] Sauna Salbu
Sauna Salbu er ein hyggeleg saunavogn med elektrisk ogn og blikk over fjord og fjell. Den er som regel plassert på gamle kaia, like ved stampen. Du kan skifte i vedskjulet og så er det varme utedusjar like ved. Fjorden er berre nokre steg unna og gjev eit deileg, kaldt avbrekk.
Du kan tinge ein times bruk, 1,5 time eller 2 timar. Unn deg ein herleg avslutning etter ein slitsam dag i fjellet!
ENGLISH: Sauna Salbu
Our cosy little sauna on wheels lives next to the fjord by the old quay. It has a large window to the world. It fits six guests and has an electric oven with stones for creating steam. The sauna is rented out in timeslots of 1 hour, 1,5hrs and 2hrs. The fjord is just a few metres away.
There are some warm outdoor showers nearby for you to get rinsed and in the mood. You can change clothes in the woodshed. You will feel reborn after your sauna session and a few plunges in the cold fjord!
Badetralala, bathtubs
Nyt eit varmt bad med blikk over Lysefjorden. I badetralala er det berre å skru på vatnet og nyte livet. Like ved er Mjågesteidn med badestige for ein frisk dukkert i fjorden.
Tralla er plassert like utenfor bygda, langs stien til Flørneset. Her er det sporadisk ferdsel av turgåarar. Utsikten innover Lysefjorden og over på Flørlibygda er formidabel. Badetralala byr på deileg avslapping og bookes for to timar av gangen.
ENGLISH: Bathtubs Badetralala
Two bathtubs with a view, just a few steps from a bathingladder to the fjord. You fill the tubs with hot water from a water heater. Badetralala is located just outside the village, along the path to Flørneset. There may be sporadic hikers passing bye. From here, the view into the Lysefjord and across the bay to the Flørli village are just amazing!
Badetralala is rented for two hours at a time, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy it to the fullest. It can be rented in the early morning before breakfast with the morning sun in your face, or mid-day as you get down from your hike, or in the evening.
Canoe rental
Ein lettvint og kjekk måte å kome seg på fjorden er i ein kanadisk 2-seter kano. Desse er stabile og lettstyrte. Perfekt til å utforske breidden til Lysefjorden.
Av tryggleiksgrunnar er berre bruk ved Flørli tillete, altså ingen fjordkrysninger eller lengre padleturar til Kjerag eller Lysebotn. Bygda Kallali kan vere eit idyllisk turmål eller besøk selkolonien under Kvernafjell.
Det er ingen krav om erfaring eller Våtkort, men alle må kunne symje for å vere med. Om du booker kano, ser vi vêret an på dagen om det faktisk er forsvarleg å sende dåke utpå. Om det ikkje lar seg gjere, blir du refundert. Leigetid er 3 timar – meir enn nok til ein god tur med piknik langs stranda!
ENGLISH: Canoe rental
Rent a two-person canoe – a great and stable way to discover the nearby Lysefjord! A canoe is wider than a kayak, therefore more stable. It is open and has two seats. The weather must be stable and for safety reasons you must stay within a couple of kilometres from Flørli. You can visit the “cave” Tjuvheller, see some pretty gorgeous and small waterfalls, enjoy a picknick in the next village Kallali, or paddle out to seal rock and greet the seals.
Note that we may cancel your booking even last minute if we think it’s not safe to go out there, in which case you will be reimbursed.
